Superfreeze is currently among the world’s largest cold logistics operators, specializing in developing and operating cold-chain logistics warehouses across Asia.
Belstar founded Superfreeze in 2011. Its financial partners include Goldman Sachs, SK Inc., and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB).
Superfreeze operates cold and temperature-controlled logistics warehouses utilizing an innovative, patented system that harnesses waste energy from the LNG regasification process, providing a carbon-neutral cooling solution.
In addition to using green energy, reducing food waste, and enhancing food safety standards, Superfreeze is the only large-scale cold chain operator in the region capable of storing food and pharmaceuticals. The company currently stores 100% of the COVID-19 vaccines for the South Korean government and, through its unique LNG cold waste recapture, is the only large-scale ultra-cold (minus 80oC) operator in South Korea and SE Asia.
